Vonderau

German for stubborn, kidding....kinda

Not the most elaborate version of a family tree but you get the point.

Generation 1: Paul and Emma Vonderau

Believed to be the owners, purchasing the propery from the Lapp family in 1905.

Generation 2: ROBERT "BOB" O. VONDERAU (passed 2015, wives: Alberta who passed in 1966 and Henrietta in 2014)

The U.S. Army Air Corps veteran served his country as a weather man during World War II. He retired in 1981 as the owner/operator of Vonderau Plumbing and Heating after 30 years and was a lifelong farmer. He was also a private pilot for over 30 years and a member of the Maumee River Basin Commission. Known for collecting odd motors and tractors, still today you can find his collection of Wheel Horse garden tractors tucked in the corner of the barn. He was most famous purchase was the 6 wheel amphibious vehicle shown in the images above.

Generation 3: Connie and Marshall Vonderau

The current occupants of the farm house, along with their pup Scooter. They raised their 3 successful daughters, Dani, Kara and Rachel. In late 2021 they will be moving into their new home on the property which is currently being built to the east of the main barn.

Generation 4: Kara Vonderau and Ben Rist-Brown 

Carrying on the family farm tradition Kara and Ben took over the farm in 2020, currently updating the farm house to be able to enjoy the home for decades to come.
