ABOUT US

We swiped in the right direction.

Welcome to VRB Farm! Kara and Ben represent the 4th generation to live and work the land in New Haven, Indiana. It all started in a small 1/2 acre lot in Indianapolis and grew when we purchased the family farm house and buildings in 2019 from Kara's parents Connie and Marshall.

Ben will be heading up farming operations when not working in the lighting industry during the day. Though not born into farming, Ben worked as various farm hand positions growing up in northwest New Jersey, establishing a bond and appreciation for land and animals.

Kara, daughter of Connie and Marshall Vonderau, works locally at a near by medical care center. Kara grew up on the farm after her parents took it over from her Grandfather Bob. Her childhood memories stem from playing in the barns and fields that still exist on site today.

When not working you can find us at food and music festivals, around at local parks or traveling the globe.

History of the Farm

To start this story we need to go back to a few years, decades, ok we actually need to go back back over a century. The original farmhouse, was built in 1897, Paul and Emma Vonderau were the original Vonderau settlers in 1905 to live on and work the land.
